Statistical surprises and stories in bivariate data – Louise Addison

Louise Addison’s (Howick College) big surprise was discovering she was teaching Year 13 statistics for the first time in 10 years!

Louise shared resources she designed and used to develop students’ statistical insight that were focused around the idea of ‘surprises’ and stories to be found in data. The bivariate resources use the context of relationships between different bones of carnivorous mammals. An excellent showcase for the use of statistics relevant to careers in archaeology or biology fields.
