Writing Statistical Reports for Level 3 and below
Lucy Edmond’s from Epsom Girls’ Grammar School, presented at the joint 2013 Auckland Mathematical Association and Department of Statistics (University of Auckland) Statistics Teachers Day. The workshop focuses on the Level 3 Internal assessments 3.8, 3.9, 3.10 and 3.11, however the techniques can be used for other levels of statistics teaching.

The presentation will take you through how to assess the literacy needs of your students, how to unpack a standard to teach report writing, what IT capabilities you may need, how to teach your students to research effectively and how to make the teaching and marking, of statistical reports fun and interesting for yourself and your students.
