SURF datasets

SURF for Schools resources are synthetic unit-record files (SURF) containing a number of records and variables, based on Statistics New Zealand surveys.

The first SURF was based on the New Zealand Income Survey (2003) and released in 2007. The second was based on the Household Savings Survey (NZ Income 2011), and the third on the Census (Birth Surf 2006).

The SURF datasets are available through the CensusAtSchool random sampler.
