Making sense of the meaningful data all around us! – Michael Walden

Michael Walden (Mount Albert Grammar School) explained that data is all around us. We would like our students to be able to make sense of it all, experiencing a range of different data sets along the way. But, could we convince them to become statisticians? Michael shared some of his more meaningful lessons and resources (from Year 10/11 Bivariate to Year 13 Time Series) that he found useful in increasing the engagement and understanding of his students.

Michael’s presentation covers meaningful engaging contexts and there are classroom resources for Time series, Bivariate analysis and Probability.
