SC Developing the language of (statistical graphs) shape
Pip Arnold presented at the 2013 and 2014 joint Auckland Mathematics Association and Department of Statistics (University of Auckland) Statistics Teachers Day.
Pip engages teachers in classroom activities to develop the language of shape used to described statistical graphs. This hands-on workshop is aimed at year 9 & 10 in the NZ Curriculum and focuses on developing an understanding of the different shapes of statistical graphs and using shape and other features to describe graphs.
