Using Gapminder Data to explore Bivariate data – Ricky Pedersen
In this workshop, Ricky Pedersen (De La Salle College) looked at how teachers can use rich data sets to explore relationships. De La Salle College used the Gapminder software created by Hans Rosling to allow students to explore relevant world data which is engaging and quite often challenges their assumptions.
Ricky looked at how to use this along with iNZight in order to help students prepare a statistical report.
The workshop required a laptop with iNZight loaded on it, and Gapminder software from http://www.gapminder.org/downloads/
