Where on earth did that rule come from? – Neil Marshall

Neil Marshall from Cognition Education presented a workshop to develop teachers knowledge about the “rules of thumb” for making Statistical Inferences.

Almost of all of the inferential rules that we use in Statistics for curriculum levels 5, 6 & 7 have been developed after extensive simulation. Students need to understand the nature of the rules and experience how they were developed. This workshop enabled teachers to engage in this process with special reference to the paired differences that can be part of the Level 2 experiments Achievement Standard.
