The underlying ideas of the randomisation test can be applied in a variety of contexts. We’ll show you how to use it for percentages and extend it to considering more than two groups.
When are statistical tests good at detecting when true treatment differences exist and when are they bad at it? We’ll introduce the concept of the “power” of a statistical test and Type 1 errors – falsely concluding that “true differences” exist when they don’t exist at all!
