Statistics Latte – Dru Rose
Dru Rose, Westlake Girls High School, presented at the 2015 Statistics Teachers’day. Dru, working in collaboration with Maya Watters, showcased a co-curricular junior Statistics/Business Studies activity. Students gather data about the amount of money adults spend on coffee per week at a coffee shop (Columbus, Starbucks etc.), type of coffees purchased and share their results on Google sheets. The data can then be explored using iNZight in a group classroom activity, looking at appropriate displays and analysis for categorical and numerical variables.
